The Davis School District Office of Equal Opportunity invites all K-12 enrolled students to participate in the 2025 Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Speech Contest. This allows students to reflect on the legacy of Dr. King.
Participants will perform a 1-3-minute excerpt from a single speech from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, in any language. There are three categories: Kindergarten through 2nd grade, 3rd through 4th, and 5th through 6th grade. There will be a winner from each category to move on to the district competition. There are cash prizes for the top 3 performers at the district level: $100, $75, and $50.
If your student would like to participate, they can get more information and the permission form from Mrs. Stringfellow in the library (astringfellow@dsdmail.net).
The deadline is Thursday, November 6.
