Davis Behavioral Health is providing an 8-Week Parenting Class at Taylor Elementary School and YOU are invited to join us.
Circle of Security Parenting is an 8-week program where parents/caregivers attend once a week for two hours and we provide free dinner and childcare. Parents/caregivers learn how they can support and strengthen the attachment they have with their kids. It focuses on how parents/caregivers can be a secure base for their child and teaches how they may be able to navigate the emotions that come up. The curriculum is geared towards kids who are 4 months to 6 years old, but we welcome parents/caregivers with kids of any age.
Parents/caregivers will also learn the following:
Learn to read their child's emotional needs
Support their child’s ability to successfully manage emotions
Enhance the development of their child's self-esteem
Trust their innate wisdom and desire for their child to be secure
Increase their capacity to regulate stressful emotional states (the parents/caregivers and their child's)
This will be held on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-8:00 pm starting on September 3 through October 22 (excluding October 14 for Fall Recess).
